Benefits of keeping pets in the home
You may not know that
raising pets have unbelievable health benefits: it helps you reduce stress,
improve blood pressure, prevent allergies and improve heart health. In
addition, burning 200 calorie when you take your dog to walk also helps your
body firmer.
For thousands of
years, friendly animals have become close friends of human beings. From the
earliest days until now, they are dogs, cats and more lovely animals such as
urchins, beetles, hamsters, rabbits, birds, and ornamental fish. According to
the American Humane Society, 46% of US households own at least one dog, 39% own
at least one cat, and the rest are lizards, parrots and fish…
So why bring up such
pets in your house, the first reason is obviously that they are so cute and you
have the passion for them. That's a good reason. Moreover, a new study shows
that raising dogs also helps improve health, brings joy, and prolongs life for
the owner. Other animals such as fish, parrots, and lizards also support a lot
in human life.
They make you move
According to the American
Heart Association, keeping active animals can help you "root" from a
chair or bed to go out. If your pets keep on tucking away for a walk, can you
leave them alone? Dogs love to be active, no matter how lazy you are, when you
see the dog looking at you with pleading eyes, you cannot refuse their wish.
And walking is also a condition for you to breathe the fresh air, consume 200
calories to prepare for a healthy body and an ideal waistline.
Bring joy as you have new friends
This life would be
meaningless without love. You are busy with work all day, go home and sleep,
then work... you will forever be stuck with work, life in a cycle of boring
and lonely. Having a vivacious pet or a cute dog will force you to move away
from the limitations of the four walls, meeting people and make you happier.
A clear example is
that "walking the dog" will create "effective social
lubrication", this will help your soul more pleasure and you have more
opportunity to meet many people. And, perhaps, accidentally met a guy (or a
girl) who has the same love for pets like you. And life will be happy with the
golden relationship.
Help you reduce stress
We live in a world of
fast pace, so many people are looking for ways to reduce stress and learn to
relax. Raising a pet is a great solution to this problem. According to research
by Suny Karen Allen, pet owners have significantly lower stress levels than
ones who do not raise a pet at home.
Specifically, the team
asked participants to solve the difficult problem, while they were monitoring
heart rate and blood pressure. Participants with pet companions usually make
fewer mistakes, have lower heart rates, and have lower blood pressure than when
they have only a family, spouse, or friend.
Help you reduce blood pressure
Not only does the
stress relieve your blood pressure, it also decreases dramatically, according
to the results of the University of Buffalo, USA. In this study, 24 out of 48
stockbrokers who were treated for hypertension were donated to a dog or cat,
while the other half did not. Clinical monitoring showed that the blood
pressure of the first group improved and stabilized in more stressful
situations than the second group.
Good for your heart
A study by the American
Heart Association (AHA) shows that owning at least one pet at home will make
you happier and happiness is key factor to keep our heart strong, stable, thus
extend our life span.
